Day or Night Shift Assistance

Our day and night homecare shifts offer flexible, in-home care with our highly trained caregivers throughout the day and into the night. This approach allows you to stay in a familiar environment while leading a fulfilled and content life at home. Clients needing shift-based assistance will have a team of highly trained caregivers who operate on a rotating schedule, providing support around the clock.

Our dedicated caregivers, guided by our expert clinical team, are capable of providing aid for a variety of conditions and clinical needs. They are trained to monitor and offer specialized care for various situations such as learning disabilities, physical injuries, strokes, and more. Caregivers are also trained to handle specific clinical requirements of the client, including tube feeding (PEG), non-invasive ventilation, suctioning, seizure management, and more.

Number of Caregivers

The number of caregivers required is determined by the client's personal preferences and the type of shift needed. We manage the care schedules to minimize the need for relief caregivers, thus reducing the number of different individuals you interact with. We involve clients actively in the caregiver selection process through meet-and-greet sessions, ensuring you are comfortable with your care team. Our focus is on seamless transitions between caregivers to limit disruption, guaranteeing that all team members are thoroughly briefed and prepared for their shifts.

Training Approach

Our trainers and supervisors, experienced in caring for clients with diverse conditions, understand the unique needs and challenges each situation presents. They are adept at training our caregiving staff, passing on their invaluable knowledge and expertise through intensive training both in a specialized training environment and on the job. Caregivers receive targeted training to identify and manage specific conditions frequently associated with spinal injuries, among others.

We carry out comprehensive skills and competency evaluations, tailored to the client's needs. These evaluations, which include practical tests, role-plays, and simulated scenarios, are performed both at our training center and in the client's home. This approach allows us to assess a caregiver's proficiency in handling real-world situations and delivering high-quality care.

Scope of Care

Our caregivers can provide everything from personal care, mobility support, bowel and continence management to medication administration, catheter irrigation, autonomic dysreflexia prevention, skin care, and more. They can also assist with household chores to ensure a comfortable living environment. We prioritize matching you with a caregiver with whom you feel at ease.

Consistent Handovers and Care

We establish a consistent team of caregivers for you. During the transition between shifts, a thorough handover process ensures the incoming caregiver is fully informed and prepared. We aim to minimize disruption during these transitions and involve you in the caregiver selection process to ensure your comfort with your care team.

Sickness Coverage

In the rare event of a caregiver falling ill, we provide a trained replacement to ensure uninterrupted support. Our experienced and proficient standby team is ready to step in for urgent coverage when needed.

Employment Model
