Carers usually work two weeks on, two weeks off, or another rotation that suits you, with planned rotas and smooth handovers arranged in advance. We recruit specifically for you, draw from our experienced staff pool, or use a mix — always ensuring a good fit through care profiles and meet-and-greets before care begins.

    Support can range from complex clinical care to personal assistance with daily life, with routines built around what works best for you. We’ll also help manage food arrangements, whether that’s a food allowance, shared shopping, or your own preferred setup.

    All carers are employed directly by Paragon, trained in person by our clinical team in your home, and supported on-site during their first shifts — so you're confident in their ability from day one. Behind the scenes, you’re covered 24/7 by our two-tier on-call system and a standby team ready to step in if needed, ensuring your care is always safe, consistent, and fully supported.

  • Paragon provides flexible day, night, or combined 24-hour care for people with spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, and other complex care needs. Support is tailored around your lifestyle and routine — whether you need help during the day, overnight, or around the clock.

    We provide either registered nurses or experienced care assistants, depending on your clinical needs. This can include everything from personal care, moving and handling, and routine support to more advanced clinical care such as autonomic dysreflexia management, tracheostomy and ventilation care, and bowel and bladder care.

    Your care is fully nurse-led, with a dedicated Clinical Care Manager overseeing your care plan, training your team in your home, and providing regular hands-on supervision. We build a consistent team around you — recruiting specifically, using our trusted pool, or both — and you’ll meet each team member in advance through care profiles and introductions.

    Staff come on duty to provide dedicated support during the day, overnight, or both. Rotas are planned in advance, with smooth handovers and clinical oversight throughout. All staff are employed by Paragon, trained in your real environment, and supported during their early shifts so that both you and they feel confident from day one.

    And because care can’t wait, you’re also covered by our 24/7 on-call system and a standby team of experienced staff — so even if someone is unavailable, your care remains consistent and uninterrupted.
